RE: SSHS8 Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout

Hey this question is for the veterans of this race. I just wanted to confirm that truck are eligable for this race. I know they have an all comers class but I was wondering if my diesel is legal to run in the A B C D classes, to be able to compete for the king of the hill trophy. If not I have a 90 Tbird that i will blow the dust off of and bring out. Thanks.

RE: SSHS8 Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout

no problemo. there was a trailblazer(non SS) and a built f-150 there last year amongst the racers as well as old merc wagons and a 70's caddy. a few other 70's / 80's entries over the years also. if i have my car ready by lunchtime tomorrow it'll be a miracle. hopefully i'll be able to get someone with a computer to datalog some runs early and tweek my tune before racing starts. i'll either see y'all in the pits or the parking lot.

rock on, rus

Have a safe trip, Rus! See you there!

I was asked to post this by one of our Mopar friends. This is regarding the VP fuel station at the track.

Hey Mike,

Can you post this on the sites you've been promoting this on? I emailed the VP guy, and this was his response:

I will be there then. If you can spead the word, tell the people we have 15 different kinds of VP Racing Fuel (sold by the gallon or per 55 gallon drum) including methanol onsite. As well as upper lube, fuel jugs, jug parts, VP shirts, and more.

Credit Cards accepted

Fuel available by the gallon:
Unleaded 93, 101
Leaded Fuel below:
VP Blue
110
C12
C14
C16
Q16
C19
C23
C25
IMPORT
METHANOL M1
M3
M5

What a great day Thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, participants, spectators,Gassit, and Atlanta Dragway! Every year, this event keeps gettingbetter.

The Mark had a decent new motor debut winning the ClassD Injected Engineering Sponsored Runner-Up Trophy, and joining the 11second club with a 11.751 @ 120.80 run during SSHS8!

Congratulations again to Dirty Old Man - Dave for winning the Atlanta Marks Grudge Match Trophy!

A HUGE Thank You to Injected Engineering - Aric, Ryan, and Tyler! Your the best!

And a Special Thanks Shout Out to Amber for letting me borrow her blower!

Here is a video of The Mark's introduction into the 11 second club. Enjoy!
