what could i bump my timing to in my 302 trying to get some free hp lol

Yea, you can do that. Just get a few beers in ya, now with the truck warmed-up, turn the distributor till you hear it detonate at idle, then just back it off a few!

Seriously, what fuel are you running. 87oct, 89oct, or 93oct?? That will determine how much the motor will take

lol to tell you the truth i dont really pay for gas so i run 93 most the time and i dont think it needs it rite now but if it did i could make sure to use it

As a basic rule of thumb, you can add 1* of timing for every 1 octane point raised. Now there are a lot of other factors involved here and I wont go into that now. Basically, add 5 to start with and go from there. Make sure you pull the spout before you turn the distributor.

lol yeah my friend mike forgot about that when he did his lol but i think ill just let you guys do that for me the wife just said ok to let me pay yall to do the cam and gears with the money we get from taxs
