I want to get my mustang tuned, but I need to know if disconnecting the battery will affect the tune?!? I got a DUI a while back and have to have an Ignition Interlock device installed on the car. To install the device they have to unhook the battery and I am curious if it is even worth having it tuned? What will/will not affect the tune?

Disconnecting the battery will not cause any problems with the tune. The only thing that will affect a tune is running the wrong octane fuel, adding a supercharger, etc... or hitting the PCM(computer) with a hammer.

Ok well that's good to know! Thanks for the info...and I will make sure when i get angry, to hit something else besides the computer with a hammer!
